Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality, Improvement and Waste Reduction (QIWR) Officer at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust to join our busy Property Team within the Estates & Facilities Division.
You will be the first point of contact in the department and provide comprehensive programme co-ordination, project and administration support for the Quality Improvement, Waste Reduction Programme, Premises Assurance Programme, NET Zero Carbon and general governance returns. This will enable the development and delivery of EFMs Quality Improvement and Waste Reduction plan, Premises Assurance Model, Net Zero Carbon and other local and central governance returns.
The project(s) range over various forums and will necessitate liaison with clinical, non-clinical and EFM colleagues covering a variety of deliverables, including operational performance, financial performance, service issues, local and central reporting.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, initiative, time management skills and personal credibility.
Main duties of the job
Under the guidance of the QIWR Lead, provide admin support to assist in the development, delivery and monitoring of project plans to deliver QIWR schemes which improve healthcare services.
Progress and chase actions agreed in workstream meetings and registered on the risk and issues log.
Maintain project plans ensuring accuracy and timeliness working closely with project leads and other colleagues ensuring risks are monitored and reported.
Support the QIWR Team, Premises Assurance Team, Sustainability Team, Capital and Transformation Team, Soft Services and Estates Operations in the development and maintenance of all business operational systems and processes for the delivery of QIWR schemes.
Facilitate and support various events, focus groups and other methods working collaboratively with stakeholders.
Implement and maintain governance, systems and processes to support the developing programme/project management approach.
Produce key project documentation reports ensuring they are delivered on time and to the correct audience.
Ability to manipulate data from a variety of sources and present in the most appropriate format (maps, charts, tables etc.).
The post holder may be required to provide a comprehensive P.A admin support to the Director of Estates and Facilities and Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities when their substantive P.A is on leave including day to day diary and email management as required.

The post holder will assist in the delivery of financial or quality benefits of the EFM Budgets to the value of circa 3% to 5% per annum or whatever target is set centrally for that year.
The post holder will be the first point of contact in the department and provide comprehensive programme co-ordination, project and administration support for the Quality Improvement, Waste Reduction Programme, Premises Assurance Programme, NET Zero Carbon and general governance returns. The post holder will be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and resolve any issues themselves, escalating where appropriate in a timely way. A flexible, can do approach as well as excellent team working, engagement and inclusion skills are key requirements.
