Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Operating Theatre Department to recruit Theatre Practitioners to join our fantastic Theatre team based at the QMC Campus. You will be a highly motivated, innovative and progressive individual committed to the development of yourself, your team and our changing and expanding services.

Expectations to deliver a high standard of service with patient safety and quality are a priority. You should be able to demonstrate effective team working and work to the highest standards of evidence based practice.

We practice multi-skilling and are looking to recruit a dynamic Practitioner who wishes to develop their practice in either anaesthetic and/or surgical scrub support. Theatre experience is preferable but not essential.

You will have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

All persons appointed to the post are required to hold registration with their appropriate professional regulatory body and to comply with their professional code of conduct. Evidence of on-going registration will be required.

Main duties of the job

You will be joining a pro-active, dynamic team of nurses and ODP's who offer the best standards of perioperative care. Every day is different - challenging but rewarding. We pride ourselves on team work, learning and being forward thinking.

NUH offers fantastic support to a diverse range of students and learners and therefore the successful applicant should either hold or be willing to work towards a level three mentorship qualification.

The successful applicant will require to work 16hrsper week flexibly on a 24/7 basis dependant on specialty.
