Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Radiology Administrator role to join our busy Administrative and Clerical team in the Radiology Department at NUH. We require an enthusiastic and conscientious team player with excellent communication skills who will need to be well motivated and reliable. Post holder must demonstrate excellent communication skills and work on their own initiative. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues and respond to queries in a professional manner.
You must be educated to GCSE level, with grade C or above in English and Maths. Computer skills are essential and experience in using Microsoft Word and Outlook is necessary. Knowledge of our hospital computer systems such as Careflow and CRIS is desirable.
The successful candidate must be able to work across all sites of NUH, Queens Medical Centre, City Hospital and The Treatment Centre. There are exciting plans in development to create a new Community Diagnostic Centre in the City Centre which will be managed by NUH Radiology. There may be a requirement for staff to rotate to this location as part of this role.
This job advert is to recruit for 3 part time positions within Radiology (CT,MRI,US)
The hours of work will be between 7:30 - 20:30, 7 days a week and will be on a rota so flexibility will be required. There may be a requirement to work bank holidays. Working hours and modalities will be discussed at the interview.
Main duties of the job
Maintain a high standard of work when carrying out administrative duties.Responsible for providing an efficient reception service, answering the phone, point of contact for patients as well as external users / providers, liaising with members of the team including Radiographers and Consultants, Booking/amending appointments depending on the urgency of the referral, Working on a busy reception and dealing with patients face to face, Management of email inboxes, Liaising with colleagues and clinical staff of all levels and General Administration duties.
