A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a new Ward Manager/Charge Nurse to join our highly motivated and hardworking team on the Regional Burns Unit in Nottinghamshire.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic and motivated, and have the ability to inspire their team, with previous experience of implementing changes and embedding best practice into the culture of their department.
The successful applicant will need to be an inspirational leader who can motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication skills are essential to this role.
The post holder is required to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, ideally hold a degree level qualification and have previous surgical nursing experience.

We will expect you to take managerial, clinical and professional responsibility for the Burns Unit and ensure the co-ordination and the development of a designated team of nurses that you will line manage.
You will work closely with the Matron for Burns and Plastics and other Ward Sisters within the CAS Division to ensure the provision of excellent patient care and a positive patient journey.
You will work in collaboration with the specialist teams including Consultants, Burns Outreach Nurses, ACPs, Psychologists, Physiotherapists and the operational teams within NUH which is critical to ensure services are running smoothly and to prevent delays in patient care.

The Burns Unit is a Regional 18 bedded Unit based at City Hospital campus, which sees Burns and Emergency Plastics patients from across the Midlands Region. It forms part of the National Network of Burns Services and aims to provide services that are capable of meeting all the physical, psychological and social needs of patients in the Midlands.
An Outpatient Dressing Clinic for these specialty patients is attached alongside a team of Burns Outreach Nurses who work both within the Hospital and in the Community with our patients to ensure continuation of care delivery.
