Job summary
Working with a vision of "delivering excellence in all we do" the post holder will work within the Rehabilitation Directorate in the Surgery Division. They will work with the Directorate General Manager, Head of Service and Divisional Management Team as required to deliver services in line with the Trust's strategic vision. The post holder will over see the service management of the Linden Lodge unit and the transition to the National Rehabilitation Centre.
The post holder will manage and develop the specialty information systems to monitor performance both operationally and strategically against targets for the directorate, and instigate change/improvements as required. This will be for both inpatient and outpatient services. They will contribute towards development of business plans and the planning and delivery of services.
The post holder will also have management responsibility for relevant Administration Managers and the systems and processes necessary to support the clinical care of patients. The post holder will deputise for the Directorate General Manager as appropriate.
This post will be based across both Trust campuses, City Hospital and QMC, as well as the National Rehabilitation Centre.

The main duties of the job are to work alongside the Specialty PAs, Head of Service and Directorate General Manager to ensure operational effectiveness of the specialty across a number of key performance indicators.
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of information to support the activity planning and monitoring processes at service/Divisional level, as well as undertake detailed operational monitoring to ensure the service achieves local and national targets.
The post holder will ensure that system and processes are in place to prevent breaches of waiting lists and that Trust's waiting list policies are implemented and monitored effectively. They will also use activity information to manage demand and capacity of the service.
