Job summary

The Specialist Receiving Unit (SRU) receives acutely unwell patients for oncology, haematology, renal and infectious diseases specialities within the Cancer and Associated Specialities (CAS) division. We admit patients from these 4 specialities who are acutely unwell, we deliver the emergency/urgent care required before transferring the patients to their own speciality.

Main duties of the job

As a HCA on SRU you will be responsible for all general HCA duties (see job description) along with supporting the nursing team with completing admissions for our patients and carrying out necessary assessments such as falls, skin integrity, nutrition and mobility.
