NUH Digital Services are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Analyst/Developer to join our Data Warehouse team in a senior capacity, to help us drive forward the Trust's Data Warehousing strategy.

The successful candidate will be based at the City Hospital Campus, and will be expected to take a leading role in the support for and enhancement of our existing data warehouse, as well as in the design, specification, and development of various new ETL and data migration packages; the role encompasses mentoring, advising, and providing leadership for more junior staff, as well as hands-on involvement in all phases of the full software development lifecycle.

The NUH data warehousing team is a small, diverse, and hard-working team, currently made up of the Data Warehouse Manager and 5 Data Warehouse Analyst/Developers. We are a very friendly and supportive team, with close working ties to other teams in the Trust, such as e.g. colleagues in the SQLDBA team and in Information & Insight, and we provide everyone in our teams with the opportunity to learn and develop.

Job responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the post holder is to provide project leadership for and provide hands-on involvement in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of extract, transform and load (ETL) routines, together with the corresponding target data warehouse database objects and structures, and all associated documentation.
The job responsibilities also include providing assistance to the team manager, for instance by mentoring and advising more junior members of the team.
We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and forward thinking individual who possesses in-depth technical knowledge and practical experience of Data Warehousing, SQLServer, T-SQL, and MS SSIS, combined with excellent proven analysis and design skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
As we need the successful candidate to be able to hit the ground running, demonstrable prior experience of working in a similar role within the NHS and with NHS data structures is vital to this post. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are likewise essential.
