This is an exciting apprenticeship opportunity within the Gateway G Department, based at The Nottingham Treatment Centre covering the reception. The Daycase Receptionists core working hours are Monday to Friday between 7am-6pm on a rostered. You will have excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing a first class service to all our patients
You must be educated to GCSE standard, possess excellent communication skills and be competent in the use of computers systems including Microsoft packages.

Working as part of theDaycaseteam you will be responsible for greeting patients at reception, checking and updating personal details while maintaining patient confidentiality. Using Careflow PAS and other relevant booking systems you will arrange follow-up appointments and update details accurately and efficiently. You'll have excellent communication skills and will deal appropriately with enquires both by telephone and in person.
You will be a conscientious and enthusiastic team player with excellent organisational skills. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated and reliable. You will be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information and be able to remain calm under pressure.
Use your own initiative and respond to queries within and outside of the Organization with a professional manner to patients, relatives and staff. You will present a professional and polite attitude at all times.

To provide administrative support to other members of the department by assisting in photocopying, scanning and collating any requests as required.
Have an understanding of patients and their different needs and how these are prioritised, including the best way to manage expectations.
Acts as point of reference for medical teams, patients and other external service users. Deals with telephone calls as appropriate and visitors to the department.
To obtain and return patient notes from this hospital and other hospitals as necessary.
Maintain office filing and information systems.
Opens mail/email and deals with correspondence.
Participate in joint apprenticeship reviews take responsibility for own personal development in conjunction with line manager.
To work as part of an administration team, to ensure adequate cover in other areas is given as and then required.
Understand the services that are available from the Trust and keep up to date to assist patients.
To use and develop overall communication skills to communicate effectively with all staff grades and our patients, both face to face and virtually.
To be able to demonstrate patience, kindness and calmness and show you understand the patients point of view.
Being able to provide a personalised experience for each individual patient.
Any other duties appropriate to the grade.
