This will be a 12 month secondment/fixed term contract.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the BU General Manager (and the Children's Hospital Management Team (CHMT)) you will be responsible for day to day operational oversight of the elective, non-elective, day-case and outpatient elements of our business working very closely with the Assistant Divisional Nurse and Clinicians supported by a team of Specialty SGM's.
You will support the BU General Manager in holding the specialties accountable for the delivery of targets across quality, patient care, risk, governance, RTT, Cancer and Finance.
You will provide leadership in the management and delivery of change. This will include working with targeted specialties and supporting SGM's in training and developing skills and expertise in their core subjects appropriate to their roles.
You will support the Business Planning process, Annual Planning, Workforce Plans and Contracting/SLA's with other NHS Trusts and the development and preparation of business cases under direction of the GM and CHMT
