Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the legal team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of clinical negligence claims and some Coroner's Inquests.
You will need to hold a degree in law, be a Cilex Associate or have relevant experience assisting in the management of person injury claims and/orclinical negligence claims/inquests. Previous experience working as a Paralegal is a significant advantage, particularly within the NHS. Therole requires someone who has the confidence and experience to communicate effectively with a range of health and legal professions.
The post holder will be required to obtain witness statements and analyse a wide range of varied information including medical records, reports fromclinicians and health and safety reports. The successful candidate willneed to possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven organisational skills, be able to work on their own initiative, under pressure and to strict deadlines.

You will be involved in making positive changes to Trust processes and guidance and sharing learning and themes from claims and inquests in order to support the Trust's drive for quality and to improve patient safety.
