Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Radiology Administrator role to join our busy Administrative and Clerical team in the CT Radiology Department at NUH. We will require an enthusiastic and conscientious team player with excellent communication skills who will need to be well motivated and reliable. It will be essential that the post holder can demonstrate excellent communication skills and be an organised individual, as well as work on their own initiative. You will also need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues and respond to queries in a professional manner.
Good customer care is essential in this role.You must be educated to GCSE level, with grade C or above in English and Maths. Computer skills are essential in this role and experience in using Microsoft Word and Outlook is necessary. Knowledge of our hospital computer systems such as Medway, DHR Unity and CRIS systems is desirable.
The successful candidate must be able to work across all sites of NUH, Queens Medical Centre, City Hospital and The Treatment Centre. The hours of work will be between the hours of 7:30am to 8:30pm, 7 days a week and will be on a rota so flexibility will be required.
Main duties of the job
Taking telephone queries from patients.
Booking/amending appointments depending on the urgency of the referral.
Working on a busy reception and dealing with patients face to face.
Management of email inboxes.
Liaising with colleagues and clinical staff of all levels.

To provide general clerical,administrative and reception duties, maintain service levels and work in a call centre environment. This will include receiving and processing imaging referrals and making appointments using the Computerised Radiology Information System (CRIS) in line with Trust waiting time standards. The post holder will answer calls from patients, external and internal referrers delivering a high standard of customer service.
