Job summary

Working with a vision of "delivering excellence in all everything we do", the post holder will be based within CAS.

The post holder will be a proactive role model who leads in the clinical environment on the provision of clinical education and assessment of competence in clinical care.

The post holder will work flexibly covering clinical shifts as required to support our learners and new staff members as required.

The post holder will:

Work alongside nurses and other healthcare practitioners to ensure the provision of high quality safe and effective evidence-based care; in accordance with local, divisional and hospital policies and procedures

Assist in identifying and defining areas for improvement and develop targeted teaching and learning activities to facilitate improvement

Develop and deliver training and educational programmes and optimise learning activities for practitioners

Ensure that the organisation has an accurate record of a practitioner's learning

About us

Loxley is a 24 bedded mixed sex Oncology and Haematology ward specialising in treating patients with sickle cell disease, the side effects of their cancer, side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and palliative care.
