Job summary
The Nottingham University Hospitals Research and Innovation Department is seeking to appoint a Funding Development Officer to complementour existing team who co-ordinate the administration and day-to-day management of the research grant application process across the NUHClinical Divisions. One of the main functions of the role is to determine the financial cost of the pre-award research grant applications ensuring allthe costs for undertaking the research grant are accounted for and are accurately attributed.
Main duties of the job
As the Funding Development Officer you will be responsible for determining the financial cost of the pre-award research grant applicationsensuring that all the costs for undertaking the research grant are accounted for and are accurately attributed. The post holder will liaise withclinical and academic departments across NUH and external partner organisations where required ensuring accurate costs are obtained.The post holder will support research grants through their lifecycle, from initial expressions of 'intention to apply' for funding through to 'grant closedown'.The post holder will be responsible for the monitoring, tracking and updating the Research and Innovation Data Management System(DOCUMAS) through the lifetime of the grant award. The post holder will liaise with researchers both internal and external to NUH and particularlywith members of the R&I Finance Department, Research Governance and Divisional R&I teams to ensure the grant runs successfully.
