Job summary

To provide a service to the Trust where suppliers are paid efficiently thus ensuring a constant flow of supplies and services and to meet statutory targets for NHS payments of accounts.

To provide ad-hoc information to Departments and Suppliers.

Main duties of the job

Accurate payment processing of invoices and credit notes in line with the Payments procedures, maintaining accurate and timely supplier accounts.

Ensure prepayments, recharges and direct debit invoices are dealt with correctly.

Identify the need and reason for the cancellation of all incorrect invoices and credit notes.

Identify the need for supplier account details to be amended.

To provide assistance to the Payments Team Leader.

Respond to correspondence and queries accurately and promptly in order to provide a quality service to both suppliers and the Trust.

Create and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and Trust managers to ensure that a smooth running and efficient service is provided.

To provide support to Payments Assistants when necessary to ensure targets are met.

To provide ad hoc information for other Trust departments.

Ensure strict controls are followed to comply with audit requirements.

Any other duties as and when required, appropriate to the post.
