A completely refurbished and expanded neonatal unit at the QMC, providing an additional 21 cots and taking the total cots at the QMC campus to 38

We provide care for tertiary level neonatal care for premature babies and their families at Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital, we are the north hub in the East Midlands for neonatal intensive care. We are proud to offer both medical and surgical intensive care for extremely premature and very sick infants, as well as having an integrated outreach team in place to support babies and families once they return home.

Main duties of the job

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join our outstanding and expanding team at Nottingham Children's Hospital as a Lead Nurse for Neonatal Services. The post holder will provide expert clinical neonatal nursing leadership advice and management support to the neonatal nursing and senior management team . The role will be integral to the safe move of the Neonatal intensive care unit into the brand Acute Unit in late 2024. Continuing to Develop pathways and interfaces with maternity and paediatric services. Linking the service in with trust strategic agendas, the local, regional and national neonatal networks and DOH agenda for neonatal care. Extending the growth, reputation and capacity of the service. Build on the clinical success and business of the service and contribute to the corporate success of the Trust.

  • Masters degree in health related subject leading workforce and / or role redesign or equivalent
