The Acute Medicine Receiving Unit are looking for Band 6 registered nurses to join our well established admissions team.
Admitting patients from ED, GP's and the provision of Same Day Emergency Care .
Work in a fast paced and developing speciality, providing care to patients with varied conditions. Acute Medicine encourage the membership of the Faculty of Emergency Nursing (FEN) to support professional development, via webinar based learning to achieve academically accredited units. Trained supported by DREEAM
The role will incorporate roles shared between AMRA and the SDEC Unit
We offer a range for shifts starting at 07:00 until 01:00
An informal visit is welcomed and recommended
Main duties of the job

Along with the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, support the ward or department team in completing appropriate risk assessments and develop action plans accordingly in order to provide a safe environment for the delivery of high quality patient care.
During regular clinical sessions, act as a role model and teacher, working alongside other staff including visiting all patients in the ward in the absence of the Ward Sister.
Ensure high quality, evidence-based care is offered to patients and, in collaboration with the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse, identify the common issues which affect the quality of care, devising clear action plans to address any shortcomings ensuring agreed action is undertaken.
