Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 0.8 WTE band 8b Permanent Clinical Psychologist to join our Neonatal psychology team. The post holder will develop and deliver the eagerly anticipated neonatal psychology service for King's Mill Hospital (0.4 WTE) and contribute to the development and delivery of the growing Neonatal service at Nottingham University Hospitals (0.4WTE).
Neonatal psychology is a developing area and as such it is recognised that there are currently limited numbers of clinical psychologists with neonatal experience. Therefore, we are keen to encourage those to apply who have an appropriate level of experience in related areas, with transferable skills and who are keen to develop their knowledge and experience of neonatal psychology. The successful candidate will work alongside the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and other Clinical Psychologists as part of a supportive team with strong links to the wider regional and national neonatal psychology network. Service development will be a significant focus for the role.
It is essential that the post-holder has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and must be HCPC registered as a practitioner psychologist. The post holder will be employed by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and will usually split their time between their base in King's Mill Hospital and in Nottingham at both the QMC and City Campus.

Also, as an integrated member of the neonatal team the post holder will provide supervision, consultancy and training to multi-disciplinary colleagues both within the service and partner agencies. It is anticipated that the post holder will supervise less experienced colleagues within the team and offer placements to Trainee Clinical Psychologists.
