Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and friendly Paediatric Musculoskeletal Therapy team, based at the QMC in the Nottingham Children's Hospital which is part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours.
The post will include working in both in in-patient and out-patient settings.
The successful post holder will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the Therapy Services, which will include rostered weekend working duties. Necessary training will be provided.
In the future there may be an opportunity to discuss rotating this post with adult MSK services too if the staff whish to do so.
Main duties of the job

You will need to demonstrate post graduate experience and clinical knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and a passion for working with children.
You will be required to demonstrate the ability to work as an autonomous practitioner in the management of varied clinical caseloads, and as a member of the wider MDT to support patient outcomes.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate paediatric patients, carers and colleagues. T
You will need to demonstrate leadership and management skills to assist with the supervision of support staff, students and band 5 physiotherapists.
The role is predominantly based within the outpatient therapy department but will require flexible and adaptable working to help support the needs of the Paediatric MSK service.

The Nottingham Children's Hospital (NCH) is based at the Queens Medical Centre campus and is part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). We provide In-patient and out-patient care for children up to the age of 19 years old.
With 97 beds, we care for around 40,000 children each year from Nottinghamshire and beyond, treating a full range of conditions, including planned and emergency treatment and surgery, Burns and Plastics, Neurological conditions, Oncology, Pediatric critical care, Renal conditions and transplantation, and Spinal and Orthopedic care.
The Children's Therapy team at NCH is a friendly and supportive department who work closely alongside the wider MDT, providing excellent evidence based care and innovative ways of working.
