Job summary
Leadership
Encourage and foster a culture that involves and empowers staff, stimulates innovation and enables participation at all levels in shaping service delivery for the future.
Work with the Matron in creating a vision for health professionals within the Specialty with a particular focus on nursing.
Act as an effective clinical role model to all non-medical staff within the specialty.
Support and/or lead in the Development and implementation of policies when required and as identified with the Matron.
Service DeliveryWork with Matrons and Clinical Staff from other specialties to implement redesign projects demonstrating a high level of commitment to meeting and exceeding expectations.
Assist the Matron in delivering and exceeding the Specialty objectives. Continually review and assess pathways and treatment plans and identify and implement improvements which may impact beyond own specialty.
Performance ManagementSupport the Specialty Team by assisting on the development and implementation of a range of quality indicators related to patient care delivery.
Motivate staff to increase performance and deliver Trust Objectives across the Specialty
Identify areas of poor performance and take the appropriate steps to address this, including providing feedback and developing, implementing and reviewing action plans with measurable outcomes.
Main duties of the job
A great opportunity has arisen across NUH Endoscopy units for a Practice Development Nurse with a focus on Research and Innovation. We are looking for a positive and dynamic individual who can evidence their passion for endoscopy, looking innovatively at the services going forward.
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, you will need to show evidence of excellent organisational skills and the ability to work where services are constantly developing whilst continuing to recover the backlog.
