A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Occupational Health Specialist Nurse Practitioner with a post registration qualification (Degree/Master's) in Occupational health. To join the senior nursing team of the Occupational Health service at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust on a full time basis.

Main duties of the job
Key Elements of the role;
- Provision of leadership and line management responsibility to the Occupational health clinical team
- Provide the full range of Occupational Health Services to trust employees, other NHS organisations and external clients
- Provide comprehensive advise & reports advising on all aspects of Occupational Health; including sickness absence and case management/return to work advice for employees referred to the service by managers & HR
- Maintain effective communication with client's, managers and other professional groups within the organisation and to external clients
- Support the department with its SEQOHS accreditation
- Experience of leading on clinical audit
- Experience of the reviewing and writing of departmental standard operating procedures
We are a paper light department so excellent IT skills are a must and you will also need to be comfortable communicating with clients both face to face but also virtually e.g. telephone and emails.
You will work from our departments based on the Queen's Medical Centre and City Hospital Campus but you should be be willing to travel to cover occasional clinics at external locations.

The Occupational Health Team are part of the Corporate HR department and is comprised of a multi disciplinary team. We are a SEQOHS accredited service comprising a team of Occupational Health Doctors (Consultants & Registrar's), specialist nurses, nurse advisors, occupational health technicians & counsellors all supported by a team of medical administrator's. In addition to the services we provide to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS trust we also provide Occupational health services to a number of other NHS trusts and to a number private companies in the region.
