Job summary
We are looking for a well organised and confident person to be responsible for the receipt and distribution of all goods into Clinical Engineering and for the despatch of items that are being returned to manufacturers/suppliers.
You will need to ensure that all goods received are logged onto the departmental database and recorded to enable ease of tracking.You will need to provide assistance to the Medical Equipment Planning Unit with the commissioning of new acquisitions of medical equipment.
You will be joining a busy, friendly department, which supports the clinical teams within the organisation.
Main duties of the job
There will be a lot of walking involved in the role and moving boxes and equipment to and from store rooms and into workshops, therefore the role will suit an active person.
There is also a requirement to drive to and from different locations delivering items of equipment, therefore is is essential to have a full clean driving licence.
You will need to be familiar with computer systems and have good keyboard skills to input data accurately and consistently following departmental procedures.
You will be communicating with a wide range of stakeholders so a friendly and polite manner is essential in this role.
