An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant to join our friendly and supportive in-patient team covering the respiratory medicine and oncology wards at Nottingham University Hospitals. This post is currently located at City Campus.
Main duties of the job

You will provide effective patient-centred care for a wide range of patients. You will assess and treat patients independently as well as work alongside an established group of physiotherapists, predominantly within the respiratory wards at City Campus.
You will be encouraged to assess new patients, determine suitability of mobility aids and discharge where appropriate. You will work alongside more experienced team members to treat more complex cases. You will signpost to external rehabilitation providers as indicated.
You will converse with patients and use non-verbal communication skills and manual handling techniques to facilitate rehabilitation goals.
You will be expected to maintain your own written records and communicate clearly with therapists and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
The ideal candidate for this role would be able to prioritise, delegate and be adaptable. They would also be able to work under pressure.
