Senior Soft Tissue Knee Fellow, Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery.Applications are invited for the above post at the City Hospital campus of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. Due to an unexpected vacancy, there is one post available starting from August 2021 for six months. There is also a post available from February 2022 for six months. Candidates wishing to start at a later date will also be considered. Successful applicants will work in the Elective Orthopaedic unit at the City Hospital Campus, which is a major elective orthopaedic centre. Some sessions at Queens Medical Centre Major Trauma Unit and the Nottingham Treatment Centre may also be needed.

The post is designed to support the successful candidate to bridge the gap between higher surgical training and substantive consultant appointment. Day time responsibilities will include supporting trauma operating theatres and fracture clinics. The department offers all aspects of complex orthopaedic trauma surgery, including limb reconstruction, orthothoraric trauma surgery and pelvic and acetabular surgery.
The department runs an active audit and research program and candidates will be expected to undertake additional projects to develop their CV and future career progression. Opportunities exist for teaching undergraduates and junior doctors for candidates with an interest in Medical Education.
About us
