Job summary

We are excited to be recruiting a Communications and Digital Learning Assistant into the administration team here at the Institute of Clinical Excellence (ICE). Main duties of the job

The post holder will be based in the Institute of Clinical Excellence (ICE) and work as part of the administration team. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining the education and digital services for education and communications for the institute. They will ensure the delivery of a quality driven, innovative and customer-focused service, promoting awareness of the Institutes offer, at all levels of the organisation and externally.

Nottingham University Hospitals is a large acute teaching hospital set across three main campuses. the post holder will largely be based at City Hospital but will need to be able to travel across all sites if needed.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To support the communication strategy, plans and design requirements of the Institute, designing for both print and digital platforms and creating print ready artwork for a wide range of activity, including campaign development

To lead the proactive planning and monitoring/responding to Institutes digital communications channels on a daily basis (including social media)., responding directly to any comments, complaints or compliments or passing them on to service areas to respond as appropriate

Write and publish web, intranet content and print that is fit for purpose taking into consideration the appropriate audiences

Use expert soft wear such as Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) to design and create work to a high standards

Implement quality control on written and illustrative online contentSupport with the initial build, day-to-day editing and maintenance of the Institutes public website and intranet, ensuring that content is regularly reviewed and updated and that any inconsistencies are rectified as soon as possible

To promote a clear understanding of the Institute of Care Excellence, its brand and any other projects within the Trust and to promote awareness at all levels of the organisation

Work with the senior Administrators and ICE teams to produce content for the NUH Trust Briefing and Nursing Newsletter

Where necessary, the post holder will be expected to assist with wider Institute Admin Team responsibilities, internal communications, digital communications activity, and events as needed

Support Institute teams in the development of engaging digital learning activities within the Institute, including podcasts, apps, virtual learning using gamification, story and video that enhance the learning process.

Support ICE teams to develop e-learning platforms, processes and content

Support colleagues within the Institute of Care Excellence to develop new ideas to promote education and skills to ensure consistent and strong communications are delivered.

With the Institute of Care Excellence Administration team develop, implement and maintain timetabling and room booking platforms to support the administration of the clinical courses. Ensure that the platform allows an easy implementing of the information required for the students with an easy individual output of the student timetable which can be easy accessible.
