Job summary

Looking for an opportunity to work in healthcare?This is an exciting opportunity for a Human Factors (HF) practitioner to provide specialist HF advice and support to NUHs Maternity Transformation Programme under the supervision of Trent Simulation & Clinical Skills Centre Human Factors team.Working closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams in practice, you will develop and implement a range of HF initiatives that support work around safe systems, team working and system design which you will develop and implement in partnership with clinical teams and project leads. You will be responsible for project managing aspects of programmes and ensuring that best practice, standards, tools and techniques are in place as well as reporting project progress.

Main duties of the job

You will be a member of the CIEHF and working towards chartership. Experience of working in healthcare is not essential however you must have recent and relevant experience of applying and implementing human factors methodologies in other industries. This includes hierarchical task analysis, complex system models including SEIPS 2.0 and have working knowledge of task and cognitive analysis, work domain analysis, product evaluation across a range of projects.You will have had recent experience of leading and implementing change and have excellent communication skills to establish effective relationships with colleagues at all levels. You will be a problem solver and able to use your own initiative, a team playerwho can initiate, delegate and complete projects. Self-motivated and with excellent organisational skills you will be able to produce management reports as well as present work internally and externally to the organisation.

We are a small multiprofessional team that includes 2 Human Factors professionals and we work with a variety of clinical colleagues as well as in education, industry and academic partnerships. As a key member of the TSCSC team, you will contribute to and develop our HF strategy, as well as acting as an ambassador and representative of the centre and the Trust, developing and strengthening our internal and external networks and partnerships in health, academic and industry sectors.
