Job summary

The East Midlands Academic Health Science Network (EMAHSN) is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager for a 12-month maternity cover.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the EMAHSN. The role of Assistant Operations Manager is an integral part of the EMAHSN Operations Team operating at the heart of the organisation and supports key areas such as Governance, Programme Delivery Reporting, HR, IT and Finance. As Assistant Operations Manager, you will support the overall development, implementation and management of the EMAHSN programmes and projects portfolio assurance process. You will also have oversight of financial budget activity across the EMAHSN portfolio and HR activity including recruitment and selection across the organisation.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking someone who is organised, a great communicator, numerate and has excellent attention to detail to join our dynamic organisation. You will have a high level of administration and office management experience, knowledge of the health and care sector and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.

Youll have the opportunity to plan and co-ordinate programme reporting and completion of our key quarterly reports to our commissioners, have oversight of finance and budget activity along with HR recruitment activity across the EMAHSN. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead on planning and implementing a monthly portfolio management plan and contribute to delivering against organisation-wide improvements in governance and operational management. Youll also play a key role in the coordination of working practices and policy implementation to ensure that EMAHSN is at all times compliant with NUH policies.
