Job summary

This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary will remain as an apprenticeship salary as this position is fixed term.

An exciting opportunity for a Patient and Carer Experience Navigator to join the Patient Experience and Voluntary Services team.

Under the direction of the Patient and Carer Experience Leads you will support the delivery of the national and local patient experience agenda, using various methods to capture real time patient feedback. Data collection and reporting will be an essential part of this role and will involve one to one interviews with patients.

You will also:

Support patients, carers, families, advocates and the public to share their experiences with us and support the operational teams to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to do this within their own areas.

Highlight areas of concern to operational leads using real-time feedback dashboards.

Use real-time feedback mechanisms and observation to identify areas of outstanding practice.

Support orientation and the implementation and continued progress of Always Events and other Patient Experience initiatives.

Support high quality patient experience.

Support patients and visitors with concerns, either through effective resolution, escalation to leads and/or the Patient Experience and Carer Lead or signposting to Patient Advice and Complaints.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will help drive the Patient Experience agenda by supporting the implementation and embedding of patient experience initiatives in ward areas.

The Patient and Carer Experience Navigators will support the team to drive service improvement and enhance patient experience in dedicated areas of the Trust.

To achieve this the Patient and Carer Experience Navigators must have:

  • Basic ECDL or equivalent experience
