An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safeguarding Adults Advisor at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Do you have a passion for safeguarding adults and would like the opportunity to work as part of a think family approach safeguarding team, supported by the Named Nurse for Adults?

The safeguarding adults advisor brings an exciting opportunity for professionals to help acute care teams embed the principles of the making safeguarding personal agenda and the roll out the Care Act.

In collaboration with the rest of the dynamic safeguarding team you will be responsible for giving support, advice and education to clinical staff across Barnsley Hospital NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has an all age Safeguarding Team that performs corporate functions to ensure all the statutory and contractual obligations in terms of safeguarding are met. This work includes;

Ensuring that all staff have the required knowledge, skills and competence to support them in identifying and responding to any safeguarding concerns ensuring action has been taken to keep people safe.

Ensuring staff have access to advice, support and supervision appropriate to their need and role

Ensuring that suitable policies, procedures and guidance are in place to underpin safe practice

To work in partnership across Barnsley and surrounding areas to promote safeguarding agendas and partnership working

All appropriate safeguards are implemented to maintain safe care
