Job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw Acute Federation (SYBAF) as the Imaging Network Programme Manager. The SYBAF is a provider collaborative which brings together five hospital trusts to work at scale to benefit the population of South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw. NHS Elective & Diagnostics Recovery and Improvement is one of the SYBAFs identified priorities.

The Imaging Programme Manager is a key member of the SYBAF Elective and Diagnostic team, and working closely with the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Diagnostics Senior Programme Manager, Imaging Clinical Leads and Endoscopy and Physiological Sciences Programme Manager, they will deliver the diagnostic improvement programme across South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw.

The post holder will work as part of the SYB Acute Federation to maintain and enhance Imaging service provision, joining at an exciting time as we plan the future direction of the SYB Imaging Network. They will be responsible for the coordination of the work programme to support recovery, transformation and future service sustainability across SYB, ensuring that services are delivered in the most effective and efficient way, supporting the utilisation of systemwide Radiology capacity including the Community Diagnostic Centres, and that there is equity of access across SYB. They will concentrate on areas such as workforce, developing shared clinical approaches and making the best use of innovative practice.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will bring experience of managing transformation programmes and projects in a healthcare setting. They will be passionate about providing high quality care and addressing health inequalities for patients and service users.The post holder will:Ensure that subject matter expertise, support and advice is always available to the AF and partnership organisations on issues regarding Imaging services. This will require analysis and interpretation of data and guidelines to recommend and make judgments on service recovery and transformation across SYB and effective working relationships with clinical leaders.Work with clinical and operational colleagues to identify and track benefits of the programme, measure and track productivity and utilisation, seeking opportunities to implement improvements to ensure efficient use of resources.Establish and run effective programme management systems for delivering the programme deliverables and benefits to time, budget and quality standards.Analyse and interpret hospital performance and quality data, policies and guidelines.Work closely with other Imaging networks and CDCs, in particular to design and deliver Academy and other collaborative training models to grow and develop the workforce.Represent SYB and the AF at senior meetings as required.
