Job summary
An innovative 6 Month secondment opportunity has arisen to be apart of the trusts Digital Journey. You will make a difference to how the trust clinical teams create and capture their Patient Health Care Records. You will be a fundamental part of a team transitioning the paper records to digital an amazing transformation.
The PAPER TO DIGITAL PROJECT SUPPORT is a core role within the IT Projects team. It is an exciting new innovation and the role will adapt to need as the requirement evolves.
The EPR is very robust and already in use in other Careflow Trusts including Sheffield Childrens and St Helens and Knowsley NHS Foundation trust and you will be liaising with them to understand what works well and help implement it at BHNFT.
As part of our implementation you will be discussing the status of forms with our medical and nursing teams during their handovers and governance. Showing them how to use it and making sure the forms.
This is a very important part of the trusts transformation strategy and we will be reviewing this secondment post in 6 months to understand the future needs.
This role will be fully supported by the ICT Director Tom Davidson, the CCIO Dominic Bullas and the CNIO Bethany Pearson. We will work together to tweak the design and follow up where the solution isnt working as expected and help engage the clinical staff to get the best results for patients.
Main duties of the job
Co-ordinate the trust paper to digital project to ensure the project is delivering in timely and engaged way.
Liaise with clinical staff and teams to ensure the effective use of digitised forms.
Work as part of the Paper to Digital team to deliver safe and effective transformation with full support and engagement with the clinical team.
Provide reports and be involved with the paper to Digital Implementation Group.
Ensure where Paper to Digital transition is failing to be delivered it is escalated.
Ensure SOPs and Policy Digital form use is adhered to.
Attend with teams sometime out of hours to support concerns.
Create and be involved in out of hours floor walking rotas for when
Keep a clear register and status of all paper to digital forms. Put mechanisms in place to triangulate and provide assurance that paper is no longer being used where a digital form exists.
Attend governance and team forums to capture all paper forms and organise effective transition to digital.
Capture and resolve paper to digital concerns, issues and risks.
This individual will help co-ordinate clinical engagement and implementation of brand new paper to digital EPR(Electronic Patient Record) Forms.
