Job summary
Numerous posts and hours available. Minimum of 24 hours to full time.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our team working in the Maternity Inpatient Service.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team in order to provide an effective and efficient service. Duties will include providing a high standard of care by tending to aspects of patient personal hygiene, liaising with the patient's families and the general public and supporting your colleagues in providing a positive experience for the patients within the maternity service.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to respond to different communication needs of patients. They will also work effectively as part of a team.
High quality patient care should be at the forefront of your expertise whilst promoting the trusts values and behaviours.
The work is very diverse and offers opportunities for personal and professional development.
Main duties of the job
To take account of individual patient needs when supporting delivery of patient care.
Assist the midwifery team in the efficient organisation and running of the ward or department i.e. answering telephones, routine clerical duties, running messages, stocking up and any other duties aligned to the role.
Ensure that there is confidentiality of patient information at all times.
To assist in meeting the requirements of the Patients Charter.
Ensuring the patient receives a personalised quality service while they are in our department.
Report any accidents or untoward incidents to the person in charge of the ward or department.
Be aware of and adhere to the Trusts policies and procedures.
