Job summary
The interview date for this role will be the 5th August 2024.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Haematology/oncology inpatient team on ward 24 as a Healthcare assistant. Ward 24 provides haematology/oncology care to a maximum of 12 inpatients.
We are a relatively small but dynamic team. The successful candidate will be expected to work a full rotation of shifts including week days and weekends.
Candidates must be hardworking and committed to delivering high quality compassionate care, they must have excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team delivering a range of designated tasks/duties of a clinical and non- clinical nature including personal compassionate care to patients, working within agreed policy and procedures.
The post holder will work under the supervision of the NMC Registrant at all times, who holds delegated accountability for the work designated.
This role offers lots of opportunities for the successful candidate. Including gaining theory and practical clinical skills for example aseptic non touch technique, venepuncture and cannulation, obtaining and recording clinical observations and blood sugar monitoring.
