Job summary

This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75%max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.

Interview Date: 8th January 2025

Experienced payroll admin support officer required for role as Payroll and Pension Officer (Trainee). NHS experience preferable.

Work as part of a small team delivering the payroll for the Foundation Trust and Barnsley Facilities Services Ltd. Circa 4800 staff.

The payroll team are based at Gateway Plaza and also work remotely for 2 days per week.

The work will be varied from processing new joiners, attending induction, processing maternity, other absences, inputting claim forms, expense forms, booking hotels for training, approving salary sacrifice orders and complex data handling.

You must be able to manage your time effectively, be able to work under pressue and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

Main duties of the job

Responsibility for a section of the payroll, processing all aspects of pay, ensuring accurate and prompt payment of salaries.

Inputting various notifications of changes to payroll, change forms, time-sheets, on call claims etc and and checking all outputs.
