Job summary
This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75%max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.

Due to an internal promotion an exciting opportunity has arisen to support the small in-house payroll team, delivering payroll & pensions for circa 4700 staff working for Barnsley Hospital NHS FT and Barnsley Facilities Services. We are seeking someone looking for a career in payroll, opportunities to progress may exist for the right candidate.
The team are based in modern offices in the heart of Barnsley town centre, at Gateway Plaza, you will also have the opportunity to work remotely for up to 2 days per week, subject to work requirements.
You must have an aptitude for figures, excellent computer skills, including excel, and demonstrate a can do attitude.
All training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
The role is primarily supporting the payroll team, through performing a number of admin functions; responding to telephone calls/emails, printing and scanning of documents, booking hotel and train tickets for training courses, approving tech orders through vivup, inputting data on the NHS national HR/Payroll system Electronic Staff Record (ESR), eg carparking, trade union subs.
