An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing Cancer Services team within Barnsley NHS Foundation Trust as an Information Analyst. You will play a pivotal part in the delivery of high quality, timely cancer pathways alongside supporting the daily reporting within Cancer Services.
This role is currently aligned to key improvement pieces of work, specifically around the development and implementation of a new Single Cancer Management System, aligned to the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Cancer Alliance and regional Trusts.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the team you will:
- Validate data, create reports and check errors on the Cancer Information System and other Trust systems
- Work on maintaining and enhancing existing reporting datasets.
- Validate patient pathways to aid production of breach reports and central returns.
- Analyse complex and sensitive data, interpreting and reporting on result.
- Assist in the preparation of cancer performance information reports to meet the information and performance agenda for the Trust which will involve investigations a range of IM&T issues.
- Develop SQL packages with a high proportion of data manipulation.
- Work on maintaining and enhancing existing reporting datasets.
You must be able to work under pressure and respond to changing demands and tasks. Experience working in a cancer setting is desirable (or scheduling care in accordance to cancer waiting times); as well as use of Infoflex, which the Trust utilises as its Cancer Information System.
You will need to demonstrate the essential requirements of the job specification; and in exchange will receive supervision and development opportunities aligned to the post.
