Job summary
This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75%max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.
We are looking for an experienced and proactive administrator to support the Maternity Outpatient Teams. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth, efficient and effective running of maternity services within the Community and Antenatal Day Services settings.
As a Community Administrative Maternity Support Worker, you will provide a comprehensive range of clerical, secretarial and administrative support on a daily basis. You will ensure that all systems and work processes are wellorganised, consistently followed and accurately maintained. Your work will support effective communication within the community teams and contribute directly to the overall effectiveness of the service. Through your high standards, attention to detail and commitment to supporting clinical staff, you will help enable the delivery of safe, seamless and patientcentered maternity care.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who is organised, confident with IT, and able to work well under pressure and to deadlines. You will need to be selfmotivated, with the ability to motivate and positively influence others, while working both independently and as part of a wider team. A key part of the role includes entering and updating accurate information on hospital IT systems, so attention to detail and reliability are vital.
In this role, you will be expected to carry out and prioritise a wide range of administrative and clerical duties, including generating and managing your own workload. You must uphold confidentiality at all times and work in full compliance with the Data Protection Act.
Professionalism is essentialyou will be expected to maintain a professional appearance and behaviour, and to develop a clear understanding of the roles of colleagues across the service. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary Outpatients team, supporting recognised standards and contributing to the efficient management and delivery of patient care.
