Barnsley Hospital is
seeking an experienced nursing leader to join our high performing team as
Associate Director of Nursing.
The Associate
Director of Nursing with the Clinical Director
and the Associate Director of Operations, share accountability for the
operational performance and strategic development of their Clinical Business
Unit (CBU). This includes
accountability for high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical quality
and governance, the delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives,
and ensuring that the CBU operates with the needs of patients as its highest
priority.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced
nursing leader who is ready for their next career move. You must be educated to
masters degree or equivalent and have the ability to influence and shape the
Nursing & AHP agenda both

Main duties of the job
You will lead, inspire and develop the Nursing &
AHP workforce to deliver high quality, patient centered care
You will be
responsible for delivering visible leadership across the CBU in order to
constantly improve the experience of care for our patients and those important
to them. You will ensure that care is delivered with compassion to a high
standard, to ensure a positive experience of care and achievement of clinical
quality standards as measured through the collection and use of relevant
clinical indicators and audits.
You will be instrumental in leading the safe
staffing agenda by developing and sustaining a workforce that has the right skills,
in the right place at the right time, and support our commitment to the People
Promise.
You will support the Director
of Nursing, Midwifery & AHPs and the Deputy Director of Nursing with the
delivery of the wider corporate Nursing & AHP agenda including the delivery
of the Trusts objectives, as part of the senior Nursing, Midwifery & AHP
team
