Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Dietetic Assistant looking to join the Nutrition and Dietetics team at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a permanent post, based within the Nutrition and Dietetic Team at Barnsley Hospital, where you would be working closely alongside Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioners and a supportive administrative team.

This post will involve implementing and supporting therapy programmes put in place by Registered Dietitians to aid the rehabilitation and nutritional care of patients. The postholder will work closely with all dietetic teams across the department (including adult inpatients, oncology, paediatrics, diabetes and paediatric diabetes) as well as working with the wider MDT. Specific tasks will include; gathering relevant patient information, liaising with other healthcare professionals, and assisting Dietitians in managing patient caseloads to provide best quality nutritional care to a range of patients.

You should be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can show good communication and time management skills.
