We are delighted to invite applications for a Fixed Term Specialty Doctor in Cardiology to join our friendly team at Barnsley Hospital for 12 Months to cover Maternity Leave.
We are looking for someone with excellent clinical skills, team spirit and commitment to high standards of patient care, previous experience in Cardiology is essential.
Main duties of the job
You
will provide specialist cardiology care to inpatients and outpatients.
Participate in wards rounds, outpatients clinics and multi-disciplinary team
meetings. Supporting the management of acute cardiac cases, including
involvement in coronary care. You will assist with diagnostic procedures such
as echocardiography, stress testing depending on experience and service needs.
You
will contribute to the training and supervision of junior doctors and medical
students. Engage in quality improvement projects, clinical governance and
service development initiatives.
You
will work within a supportive team, gain hands on experience in a well-equipped
cardiology department.
