This role is a fantastic opportunity for apprentices who are currently studying for NVQ Level 2/3, apprentices should note that the salary would be Agenda for Change Annex 21 trainee rate (75%max of band) until they have completed their apprenticeship.
The role of the Medical Staffing function is to support the Trust in achieving its strategic aims and service objectives by developing more flexible ways of employing, retaining and rewarding Medical and Dental Staff and by supporting line managers to manager their staff.
We require a highly motivated individual to work in our busy department. You will be required to work with the minimum of supervision and as part of a team to support the recruitment and selection process generally, ensuring that procedures and policies in relation to advertising, interviewing and appointments are adhered to.
Applicants should possess good communication and organisational skills and be able to work under pressure. Previous reception experience and computer/keyboard skills are essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
To support the recruitment and selection process generally, ensuring that procedures and policies in relation to advertising, interviewing and appointments are adhered to.
To ensure that input to NHS Jobs and ESR (Electronic Staff Records) Computer System is accurate and up to date. The postholder will also be expected to undertake routine quality control checks.
Awareness of all recruitment procedures including Equal Opportunities information, declaration of convictions, Data Protection Act requirements and ensure this is adhered to at all times.
To maintain personal files and computerised records to provide accurate information for individual employees in accordance with Data Protection Act 1998 and Codes of Practice and budgetary purposes.
To participate in the departmental reception, taking telephone enquiries.
Any other duties commensurate with the post and grade.
