We would like to invite you to join our outpatients therapy
services in this newly revised role which requires specialist skills in
managing hand therapy conditions and can be fulfilled by an occupational therapist
or a physiotherapist. This is an exciting opportunity to join our therapy teams
and help us continue our journey towards excellence. Your role will be to lead
and develop the hand therapy service offer, working with colleagues within
BHNFT and across pathways in Barnsley and South Yorkshire. You will be working
alongside advanced specialists in other speciality areas and will be supported
by the collective leadership for therapies and dietetics.
You will be an
inspirational leader with experience of leading change and working with others
to create great care to meet the needs of the Barnsley people.
Main duties of the job
You will have advanced clinical skills within the
management of various hand therapy conditions, and be able to apply this
knowledge and experience to aid the multidisciplinary team in providing best
possible care.
You will be responsible for the clinical governance within
the hand therapy service, and will share your skills more widely across the
physiotherapy and occupational therapy service and wider therapy and dietetics
service
You will ensure that the service is evidence based and
effective utilising current and developing guidance and established outcome
measures.
You will ensure that you provide a high standard of
leadership for your team, and across the therapy services including living our
values as an organisation and as a profession.
You will be forward thinking, motivating and innovative,
developing the service and your colleagues skills in order to be fit for the
future challenges.
Our therapy services are undergoing a number of
developments including digital transformation and we have high aspirations for
where we can take therapy and the therapy teams as a whole. This is both a
challenging and exciting time to be joining our team.
