Job summary
This is an exciting time
to join the existing and well-respected Department of Orthogeriatrics who are seeking to
appoint a Consultant Orthogeriatrician/Surgical Liaison.
This is a new post and an exciting time expanding the service into Surgical
Liaison giving the opportunity for the successful candidate to help shape and
develop this service.
We are looking for an
enthusiastic individual who will bring their skills, knowledge and drive to our
existing teams in the continued development of the department. The post is a 10 PA post with
opportunities to become involved and participate in either specialist interests
and/or non-clinical activities such as Qi (Quality Improvement).
Applicants must be on the GMC Specialist Register or
within 6 months of attaining Specialist Registration/CCT at the time of
interview. Applications from candidates who, for personal reasons, are unable

Essential
- MRCP or equivalent
- Full GMC registration, and on the specialist register OR
- Full GMC registration and within 6 months of specialist registration due to completion of training or within 6 months of specialist registration due to application via CESR with the submission completed at time of application for post
Experience

- Experience in the management of a broad GIM caseload
- Experience in the management of a Geriatric/Elderly Care Medicine caseload
Desirable
