Main duties of the job
We are innovative and forward-thinking and have invested in a host of technical improvements, including robotics and state of the art dispensaries and technical services. This is an exciting time at Barnsley Hospital with the recent implementation of electronic prescribing bringing excellent opportunities for further innovation and service development.
If you are a self-motivated and forward-thinking individual and would like to play an integral part in growing the reputation of the pharmacy and contributing to service developments we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to lead our Haematology and Oncology clinical Service and be a lead contributor to developing Pharmacist-led clinics to review and prescribe chemotherapy for patients at the trust. As well as being able to demonstrate strong leadership and service development skills, you will be able to exercise advanced clinical skills by participating in ward rounds and within MDT discussions. Strong communication skill and team working is necessary as you will be working in close collaboration with the Aseptics Services Department, Haematology Ward, Chemotherapy Unit and Western Park Outreach Clinics.
