An exciting opportunity has arisen for an adult registered nurse with full NMC registration, to join our team. This is a permanent position.
As a registered nurse you will be responsible for supporting your manager and colleagues in ensuring that service users needs are met through the delivery of safe, effective high-quality care. We are looking to welcome a professional and enthusiastic band 5 staff nurse to join our team.
We are seeking a nurse who is confident and self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate must demonstrate a kind and compassionate attitude and have a desire to provide high quality and efficient care to women within the Gynaecology department.
We offer support and development to all of our nurses, including a period of supernumerary on commencement of employment, department specific training and appraisals.
The Gynaecology Outpatient Department runs a variety of clinics for new and follow up patients in varying specialities including general Gynaecology, Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, nurse-led and Urogynaecology. We also carry out minor procedures and treatments daily within the departments. The department runs Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays, with some options for adhoc additional work on evenings and weekends as per service need.

You will be expected to adhere to the NMC Professional Code of Conduct and be familiar with and adhere to the Health and Safety procedures laid down by the Trust reporting untoward incidents and completing appropriate documentation.
You will provide care to a variety of patients attending specialist clinics including;
Colposcopy
Hysteroscopy
General Gynaecology
Fast track
Nurse Led
Vulval
This includes chaperoning and assisting in procedures.
You will also be expected to coordinate the corridor, ensuring streamline patient navigation and supporting the nursing teams working in the various clinics to safely and effectively care for patients.
Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in sensitive and challenging situations.
You will carry out duties according to both local and national policies, procedures and guidelines, contributing to quality improvement, and promoting best evidence-based practice.
