Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team within the theatre complex. The Post-operative care unit is a very busy, ever evolving unit. The department runs a 7-day service and is responsible for the recovery of all patients following surgery including maternity, trauma and emergency services.
Main duties of the job
You will be part of the mutli-disciplinary team delivering compassionate personal care, recoginsing and meeting the specific needs of the patient. You will be expected to work alongside the registered nurses to meet the demands of multiple theatre lists. Escorting and supporting patients throughout their journey to and from theatre. You will be supported in your continuous professional development and clinical skills, by the senior nursing team, Lead Nurse and Clinical nurse educator, by undertaking training and assessment.
