Job summary

BHRUT maternity department is looking to recruit an enthusiastic nursery nurse with previous experience in the care industry. You will be supporting Midwives, nurses and Doctors to provide care to neonates requiring additional care in the department. The successful candidate will be part of the maternity unit working predominately on the postnatal department and maternity high dependency unit. You should have previous experience of working with the public. A good standard of numeracy and literacy and a flexible approach to work in any area of maternity. Your main responsibilities would be to assist in planning, implementing and evaluation of high quality individualised infant care of neonates gestational age 34+0 and over under the supervision of senior midwifery and neonatal nursing staff.

Main duties of the job

To assist in planning, implementing and evaluation of high quality individualised infant care of neonates gestational age 34+0 and over under the supervision of senior midwifery and neonatal nursing staff. To promote a friendly and supportive atmosphere for parents and relatives in which they can learn to care for their babies ensuring a family centered approach.
