Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant to join our team at Queen's Hospital, Pharmacy.

Your duties will include:

? Dispensing medication for Inpatients and Outpatients.? Dispensing Controlled Drugs? Stock management including receiving and checking orders, checking expiry dates and general housekeeping duties within the dispensary.? Reception duties including receiving prescriptions

You must hold a Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Service Skills (QCF) or equivalent. Ideally you should have worked in a Pharmacy Hospital environment but welcome applications from candidates with community Pharmacy experience.

You must be hard working, methodical and accurate, flexible & have a good attendance record. Experience of working with computers and the general public is essential.

Queen's Hospital provides full 7-day working and this post will involve some late, weekend and Bank Holiday shifts.

Main duties of the job

To carry out basic pharmacy duties and assist in the provision of a high quality, patient orientated service, to include dispensing for inpatients and outpatients receiving in prescriptions and may include providing a top-up service to a designated ward or department.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.

The majority of our 8,000 staff - who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups.
