Job summary
An exciting 6 month fixed term/secondment opportunity has arisen in the senior Corporate Nursing team within BHRUT for a Director of Nursing, Harm Free Care. This is a key role with specific responsibility for promoting excellence in clinical care, professional practice, and effective management and delivery of the harm free care agenda.
Applications are invited from Registered Nurses/Allied Health Professionals with current experience at a senior level of working Deputy Chief Nurse, Deputy Director of Nursing or AHP, Deputy to the Chief Nurse, Head of Nursing or AHP role. Reporting to the Chief Nurse, the post holder will lead the implementation of the Harm Free Care agenda through the Clinical Groups, leading and developing innovative solutions to manage the quality of care to patients with wellbeing as a central focus.
We are looking for someone who is autonomous and self-motivated with strong leadership skills and a professional approach that demonstrates our Trust's vision and values.
Main duties of the job
The post holder has specific responsibility for promoting excellence in clinical care, professional practice, and effective management and delivery of the harm free care agenda.
The post holder will lead the development and delivery of a strategy related to each area of responsibility through the Clinical Groups, and develop innovative solutions to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and patient centred approach to care delivery.
The post holder will be responsible for leading data understanding, analysis and innovation in practice specifically related to the Chief Nurse portfolio.

We're looking forward to introducing an electronic patient record next year. This will mean the records of any patient visiting one of the seven hospitals run by BHRUT and Barts Health will be accessible to the clinical teams. It'll make things easier for staff and will be better for patients.
