Job summary
BHRUT have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Information Analyst to join our Workforce Intelligence team. We are looking to continue to expand and evolve our processes aiming to become forerunners in data production and quality, we are a dynamic and fast paced team with a strong foundation. We use a varied range of systems and data sets to build intelligent reports and dashboards to support and inform the trust in its understanding of our workforce. We are looking for someone with a strong analytical background with the ability to interrogate datasets and contextualise to build a narrative that supports integral conversations and decisions for the Trust.
We are looking for an individual with a passion and skillset that will produce effective and dynamic reports. Our ideal candidate is someone who can work autonomously to a high standard and is always on the lookout for making improvements and efficiencies to streamline processes and improve output. The successful candidate will need to have experience of working with data analytics and building high quality reports and dashboards.
The successful individual will need to have advanced experience of using Microsoft Excel and have familiarity with analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, VBA or other similar programmes.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be working primarily with the NHS Electronic Staff Records (ESR) system as well as other systems such as TRAC and HealthRoster, involving data extraction and transformation. The role also involves maintaining processes and systems administration of the ESR system to support the Trust's Establishment Control objectives.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Complex data analysis of metrics from various workforce systems
- Able to build and maintain regular and scheduled reports
- Respond to and provide data for ad hoc requests including FOIs
- Data extraction and transformation
- Supporting the team with objectives and priorities
- Supporting data requestors with extensive knowledge of workforce data and contextualising data for business needs
- Support and maintenance of ESR System
- Support Trust objectives and upcoming projects
About us
We provide care for the residents of three diverse London boroughs. Most of our 7,800 permanent staff live in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge and the majority are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. We also provide healthcare services to people in south west Essex, and specialist neurosciences services to the whole of the county.
Our services include all the major specialties of large acute hospitals and we operate from two main sites - King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen's Hospital in Romford. We have two of the busiest emergency departments in London - more than 300,000 people visited our A&Es in 2023. We also provide outpatient services at Brentwood Community Hospital, Barking Community Hospital, Loxford Polyclinic, and Harold Wood Polyclinic.
We're pleased to be leading the way in reducing the time our patients wait to get the treatment they need. The Elective Surgical Hub at King George Hospital is one of eight to be accredited as part of a national scheme; the Care Quality Commission has raised the ratings forurgent and emergency careat Queen's and King George hospitals; anddata released by NHS Englandshowed that the Trust was the most improved in 2023 for reducing waits for emergency care.
We are particularly proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre; Radiotherapy Centre; Hyper Acute Stroke Unit; and dedicated breast care service at King George Hospital. We're also part of the North East London Cancer Alliance.
