Job summary
BHR is one of the largest associate teaching hospitals providing acute care for over 700,000 people from across two main sites - Queens and King George Hospital. The Queens Hospital is situated close to the A12, within walking distance of Romford British Rail Station and local amenities.
We are looking for suitably qualified staff to perform clerical duties to provide support to Radiologists, Radiographers and Sonographers and to maintain smooth patient flows throughout the department. Duties will include using the Radiology Information and Medway systems to access and record patient details and update their records. You may be required to work anywhere within the Radiology Departments across all sites of the Trust.

Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive and efficient management of the E-rostering system, supporting the Management and Clinical Teams, ensuring all actions are recorded in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy.
To help support and manage the Radiology Reporting & RRO Team and to act as a central point of contact for any escalation issues.
To project the professional image of the business through demonstrating excellent customer care in all activities.
Providing administrative support to the Radiology Department which will include liaising with staff within the trust and external sources.
To always maintain confidentiality.
To be proactive in the development and continuous improvement of the role, making recommendations for changes in process in light of the Trust's ongoing transition and implement new procedures as appropriate.

We know we have more work to do to improve waiting times for urgent and emergency care, and our performance against the four-hour emergency access standard remains challenged, in comparison to many other London trusts.
We are particularly proud of our regional Neurosciences Centre; Radiotherapy Centre; Hyper Acute Stroke Unit; and dedicated breast care service at King George Hospital. We're also pleased to be part of the NEL Cancer Alliance.
